When is the franchise on showtime

Documentary Sport. See more at IMDbPro. Episodes 9. Browse episodes. Photos Add Image. Storyline Edit. Unscripted, uncensored and unprecedented It's the players as you've never seen them, all their stories and every fascinating moment-as it happens, the way it happens. This new docu-series provides a candid look at the struggles, relationships and day-to-day lives of Major League Baseball players through unprecedented access to Giants players, their families, coaches and team personnel.

Real, dramatic, intense, unexpected. The final episode of The Franchise will air Wednesday on Showtime—one week earlier than originally planned. The original plan called for eight weekly episodes, starting July But the Marlins have endured such a trying season that the team will end its run on Showtime this Wednesday—its seventh weekly episode—instead of Aug. We are all guilty of slowing down to watch the aftermath of a car accident on the side of the road, but none of us would stick around more than 8 weeks to do so.

That is what this once promising team has become, a flaming accident on the side of the Major League Baseball highway. The concept here is foreign to me. Look, my woeful Golden State Warriors are, historically, one of the lousiest teams in all of basketball.

Just the thought of even considering setting the DVR to watch the Lakers or Knicks on a docu-series makes me fall down in laughter. No way. Not if you paid me.

So, there it is. If it were well done, I could probably watch hours about various European clubs. I may actually watch each episode with the bunting out in my living room and my face painted orange and black. The saga of Brandon Belt — absolutely. I love it already. And that minute may have elapsed last season. I mean, if The Franchise had been the most fortunate docu-series in history and followed the G-Men during their improbable run to be World Champs, then hell yes I would expect everyone else to watch.
